Bookworms, mark your calendars as the country’s biggest book event is back.
The Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) will return on Sept. 10 to 14 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, bringing together more than 200 local and international exhibitors.
The five-day event is also expected to draw thousands of readers, teachers, students and families.
For over four decades, the MIBF has been a hub for readers, educators and bibliophiles to discover new titles, exchange ideas and explore educational resources.
Attendees can expect discounts on activity books, storybooks and titles across basic education, higher education and law. There will also be raffle prizes and hands-on activities for young children.
Among the exhibitors is homegrown educational book publisher Rex Education, which is marking its 75th anniversary at this year’s fair.
“As we celebrate 75 years of standing alongside Filipino learners, our presence at the MIBF takes on a deeper meaning,” Rex Education said.
“We’ve always walked hand in hand with teachers, parents, students, schools, and learning communities in championing quality education for all,” it said.
The publisher is offering free admission tickets that visitors can claim by scanning a QR code, downloading and printing the pass.
“With this free ticket in hand, guests are in for a five-day treat at the fair- filled with books, fun learning activities and new offerings waiting to be explored,” the company said.
